Amu condoles death of poet Habibullah Sirajee
DHAKA, May 25, 2021 (BSS) – Central 14-party coordinator and Awami League advisory council member Amir Hossain Amu today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Bangla Academy Director General (DG) poet Habibullah Sirajee.
In a condolence message, Amu, also spokesperson of central 14-party alliance, said Ekhusey Padak recipient poet Habibullah Sirajee will be remembered to the nation for his outstanding contribution to promoting liberation war spirit and pursuing poetry.
Sirajee died last night while he was undergoing treatment at a city hospital at the age of 73.
He was suffering from colon cancer.
