Miraz reaches 50-wicket milestone in ODI

DHAKA, May 23, 2021 (BSS)- Bangladesh off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz touched the milestone of taking 50 wickets in ODI cricket.

He got to his milestone in the first match of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

In the first ODI of the series, Bangladesh batted first and scored 257-6 in 50 overs.

In pursuit of the chase, Sri Lanka was caught in the spin-web of Miraz who started the match with 47 wickets. Miraz finished with 4-30 in 10 overs. He is the 12th Bangladesh bowler to reach wicket’s half-century.
