Govt working relentlessly to tackle COVID-19 pandemic: Murad
SARISABARI, May 22, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and
Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan today said the government is working
relentlessly to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
“The government is working relentlessly to deal with coronavirus
pandemic by taking various pragmatic steps and protect the people. The
Corona outbreak is still in control due to timely action taken by the
government,” he said.
He was speaking the Health Management Committee meeting here as the
chief guest.
Murad said Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated
countries in the world and if people want to stay away from
coronavirus, they have to follow proper health guidelines and maintain
social distancing.
If economic activities are stopped for a long time alongside the
crisis of livelihood, life of the common people will also be in
danger, he said, adding that so the government is taking various steps
to maintain a balance between these two.
With Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shihab Uddin Ahmed in the chair, the
meeting was addressed, among others, by District Civil Surgeon Pranoy
Kanti Das, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Gazi Mohammad
Rafiqul Haque and Upazila Awami League General Secretary Harun Aur
Rashid.
