Sons kill father in Trishal.
MYMENSINGH, May 22, 2021 (BSS):- A father was allegedly killed by his sons in Trishal upazila of the district on Friday night.
The victim was identified as Khairul Islam, 55, of Char Madhakhali village in Trishal upazila of Mymensingh.
Officer-in-Charge of Trishal Police Mohammad Main Uddin said Khairul had been involved in extra marital affairs for long.
When Khairul was found with a woman at his house on Thursday night, his two sons-Minhaz Uddin, 30, and Akram Hossain, 25, strongly protested the illicit relationship of his father that led to an altercation between father and his sons .
At one stage, Khairul assaulted the sons and after being enraged the two sons started hacking Khairul with sharp weapons that left him critically injured.
The neighbours rescued Khairul and took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) and later he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) as his condition was deteriorated.
He succumbed to injuries at the hospital on Friday night.
Police recovered the body and sent it to DMCH morgue for autopsy.
Police arrested one of the sons, identified as Akram while the other remained fugitive .
He was sent to jail after produced before a Mymensingh court today.
