BRAHMANBARIA, May 21, 2021 (BSS) – Two people were killed and five others injured when a pick-up van and microbus collided head-on at Bijoynagar on Dhaka-Sylhet highway this morning.
Of the two deceased—one was identified as Rony Khondoker, 13, son of Ripon Khondoker hailed from Shayesthaganj upazila of Hobiganj district and identity of other is yet to be confirmed.
“Two pick-up van passengers were killed on the spot as a Dhaka-bound pick-up van bearing registration number Dhaka Metro 15-1209 came into collision with a microbus coming from opposite direction at Alinagar village under Budhonti union at around 9:30am,” said M Shahjalal Alam, officer in charge of Highway police station.
The injured were recovered and rushed to Madhabpur upazila health complex.
