DHAKA, May 21, 2021 (BSS) – The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested an active member of the banned militant group Ansar Al-Islam in a raid in the Taj Mahal Road area under Mohammadpur Police Station here.
The arrested was identified as Md Saiyabur Rahman Kawsar, 21, hailing from Noakhali district.
RAB-2 ASP (Media) Md Abdullah Al Mamun said on the basis of secret information, a team of RAB-2 raided the Mohammadpur Eidgah ground area around 8:30 pm and nabbed him.
Extremist books and leaflets were recovered from his possession, he added.
