Premier Division Handball League begins
DHAKA, July 22, 2018 (BSS) – Three matches of the Cute Premier Division Handball League were decided on Sunday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.
On the day’s first match, Arambagh Krira Sangha defeated Menjis Krira Chakra by 35-14 after leading 18-04 at the breather.
In the second encounter, Quantum Foundation registered an exciting 29-23 victory over Prime Sporting Club after leading 16-13 at half time.
Dhaka Mariners Youngs Club won against Surjodoy Krira Chakra by 32-21 after leading the first half by 13-11 goals.
Earlier on Saturday, Awami League Youth and Sports Affairs Secretary Harun-Ur Rashid formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest. Moushumi Industries (Cute) Limited chairman Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal was present as the special guest.
A total of ten clubs are taking part in the league, which is sponsored by Moushum Industries Limited and organized by BHF.
Participating clubs: Narinda Pragati Boys Club, Prime Sporting Club, Dhaka Mariners Young Club, Arambagh Krira Sangha, Menjis Krira Chakra, Bangla Club, Surjodoy, Krira Chakra, Victoria Sporting Club, Old Ideals and Quantum Foundation.
