PM grants 25 lakh to Maruf Hasan’s family
DHAKA, May 19, 2021 (BSS) – A savings certificate worth Tk 25 lakh has been given from the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund in favor of the family of the late Abul Khair Mohammad Maruf Hasan, former Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
On behalf of the Prime Minister, Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office Md Tofazzal Hossain Mia handed over the savings certificate to Maruf Hasan’s wife Fatema Naharin Nira at the Prime Minister’s Office today, said a release issued here.
Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Mohammad Mohsin was also present on the occasion.
A family savings certificate of Tk 20 lakh was handed over in favor of Maruf Hasan’s wife for the education and other expenses of Maruf Hasan’s daughters and a savings certificate of Tk 5 lakh was handed over in favor of his mother Mahfuza Akter Banu.
Late Abul Khair Mohammad Maruf Hasan, a 22nd batch officer of BCS (Administration) cadre, was infected with Corona virus (Covid-19) and was admitted to Central Police Hospital in Dhaka on April 7 and died on April 15.
Maruf Hasan has served with utmost devotion, honesty and efficiency at various levels of administration.
