Govt improving living condition of government orphanage children family centers: Khasru
NETRAKONA, May 19, 2021 (BSS) – State minister for social welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru here today said, the present government has been implementing many pragmatic programs for improving the living condition of the inmates of the government orphanage children family centers across the country.
“The government at the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been designing and implementing different need based programs for ensuring overall improvement of the living condition of the children family centers’ residents so that they could get proper accommodation facilities and congenial academic atmosphere”, he said.
Khasru said these while he was distributing scholarship money and bicycles among the current and former residents of Netrakona government orphanage children family center in Kumri area in Netrakona sader upazila here.
The state minister Khasru handed over scholarship money amounting taka 1,38,000 to the seven meritorious residents and four bicycles to four meritorious residents of the children family center.
Chaired by deputy commissioner Netrakona Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman, the function was addressed, among others, by deputy director of district social service department Mohammad Alauddin, president of district women Awami League and prominent social worker Kamrunnesa Ashraf Dina, office secretary of district Awami League Mazharul Islam, finance secretary of district Awami League Hafijur Rahman Khan and valiant freedom fighter Abdur Rashid.
