One killed in thunderstorm in Manikganj
MANIKGANJ, May 18, 2021 (BSS) – A school student was killed and two others were injured by thunderstorm at the village Gilando under Manikganj sadar upazila of the district this afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Asif Mollah, 14, son of Md. Masud Mollah. The injured are Anik Mollah, 13, son of Abdur Rashid Mollah and Md. Abdullah, 13, son of Lebu Mia.
Rakib Hossain Farhad, Chairman Nabagram Union and the resident of the same village said the incident occurred at around 5 pm when all of them were flying kites by the side of their houses, adding that after the incident all the three were rushed to the Monno Medical College Hospital. Asif died on the way to hospital and Anik was sent to Dhaka Medical College hospital in a serious condition. Abdullah was admitted at Monno Medical College hospital.
All the dead and wounded are the students of class seven of Gilando High school.
