Two drug peddlers held with heroin, yaba in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, May 17, 2021 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in two separate anti-crime drives, arrested two alleged drug peddlers with one kilogram of heroin and 125 bottles of phensedyl here last night.
According to the RAB sources, the arrested persons were identified as Abu Raihan Kabir, 24, son of Shahidul Islam of Ramnagar village under Godagari upazila in the district, and Rabbi Khan, 27, son of Khorshed Ali of Boharampur area under Rajshahi Police Station in Rajshahi city.
A team of the elite force, being informed, conducted a raid in Uzanpara area under Godagari upazila and arrested Raihan Kabir with one kilogram of heroin around 8.30 pm red-handed, RAB sources said this morning.
In another drive, a separate team of the elite force arrested Rabbi Khan with 125 bottles of phensidy after conducting a raid in Harishankerpur area under the same upazila around 9.30 pm.
Two separate cases were recorded with Godagari Police Station and the arrested persons along with the seized contraband goods were handed over to police.
