DHAKA, May 11, 2021 (BSS) –The relief distribution programmes are being carried out on behalf of the government in Dhaka division.
Many people and families have received financial assistance and relief items as of May 9, 2021, said the district information offices of the concerned districts through the Dhaka Divisional Information Office, a PID handout said here today.
In Dhaka district, some 2 lakh 3 thousand 94 taka has been distributed in cash while 1 crore 9 lakh 37 thousand 250 taka through Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) card.
In Madaripur district, 1 crore 46 lakh 25 thousand taka has been provided in cash and financial assistance of 2 crore 90 lakh 25 thousand taka has been distributed through VGF card.
In Rajbari district, 1 crore 61 lakh 2 thousand 4 hundred 57 taka has been given in cash while financial assistance of 41 lakh 16 thousand 8 hundred taka through VGF card.
In Narsingdi district, 1 crore 96 lakh 71 thousand 3 hundred taka has been provided in cash and 6 crore 4 lakh 89 thousand 6 hundred taka has been provided as financial assistance through VGF card.
In Gopalganj district, 1 crore 57 lakh taka has been provided in cash and 21 crore 11 lakh 49 thousand 550 taka through VGF card while financial assistance has been provided to 151 families and 679 people through phone number ‘333’.
In Tangail district, 1 crore 94 lakh 8 thousand 303 taka has been provided in cash and 89 lakh 51 thousand 355 taka through VGF card while 25 lakh 70 thousand 500 taka has been provided through ‘333’ call.
In Shariatpur district, various people got 500 packets relief items in Gosairhat upazila while 1,440 packets in Naria upazila, 400 packets in Damudya upazila through VGF card, 2,472 packets in Vederganj upazila and 1 packet via ‘333’ call to Sadar upazila and 1 packet in Gosairhat upazila.
In Munshiganj district, 1 crore 75 lakh 50 thousand taka has been provided in cash and financial assistance of 2 crore 75 lakh 81 thousand 850 taka has been given through VGF card.
In Faridpur district, 52 lakh 22 thousand taka has been provided in cash and 1 crore 60 lakh 54 thousand 650 taka has been distributed as financial assistance through VGF card.
In Kishoreganj district, 77 lakh 97 thousand 9 hundred 5 taka has been distributed in cash while 8 crore 94 lakh 6 thousand 900 taka through VGF card.
In Narayanganj district, 1 crore 3 lakh 50 thousand taka has been provided in cash and 2 crore 96 lakh 55 thousand taka financial assistance has been distributed through VGF card.
In Manikganj district, 16 lakh 65 thousand taka has been provided in cash and 4 crore 12 lakh 92 thousand taka has been given as financial assistance through VGF card.
Financial assistance has been provided to 89 families and 445 people through dialing ‘333’ phone number.
