Holy Shab-e-Qadr observed in Rangpur

RANGPUR, May 10, 2021 (BSS) – The holy night of Shab-e-Qadr, also known as Lailatul Qadr (the Night of Decree), was observed with due religious gaiety and solemnity with offering special munajats seeking divine blessings to get rid of the global Covid-19 pandemic here last night.

The Muslims believe that the most important night of Shab-e-Qadr bears huge importance when the Almighty Allah sent the Holy Qur’an as a full code of conduct for the humankind on earth on this night.

The Muslims attended discussions on the most meaningful night of forgiveness, fortune, hope and aspiration in the mosques abiding by the health directives and offered `nafl’ prayers till Fazr prayers and recited from the holy Qur’an.

They offered special munajats seeking divine blessings for forgiveness of the sins committed, long life, peace, progress, good health and happiness for them, their families, relatives and friends and also prayed for eternal peace of their respective parents and generation’s departed souls.

Special milad mehfils, `zikrs’ were organised and `tobaraks’ distributed among the Musollis at the mosques both in the city, urban and rural areas.

Olamaye-Kerams, Mashayekhs, Imams and Islami Thinkers delivered lectures in special discussions arranged at the mosques since after the Esha and Tarabih prayers narrating spiritual significance of the most sacred night.

The Muslims stayed for the whole night at the mosques, offered special prayers and `ziarats’ at the graveyards of their forefathers and departed relatives, friends and nearer and sought forgiveness and eternal peace for all.

A good number of Musollis offered ‘nafl’ prayers at the Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque, Nasirabad Ekramia Jam-e-Mosque, Jamtola Jam- e- Mosque, Dhap Jam-e-Mosque, Alamnagar Waqf Mosque, Central Bus Terminal Jam-e-Mosque, Kachari Bazar Jam-e-Mosque, Kamal Kachna Jam-e-Mosque, Paschim Khasbag Jam-e-Mosque, Satmatha Jam-e-Mosque and other mosques in the city.

In their munajats, the Musollis sought divine blessings for eternal peace of the departed souls of their near and dear ones, peace and prosperity of the country, its people, Muslim Ummah and humanity as a whole and getting rid of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
