DHAKA, May 10, 2021 (BSS)- Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Rajshahi district Awami League President, former lawmaker and valiant freedom fighter Meraj Uddin Molla.
In a condolence message, the minister recalled the contribution of Meraj Uddin Molla in the country’s Liberation War in 1971 and its politics arena.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, said he (Meraj) will ever be remembered for his affection to the people and the country as well.
He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Meraj Uddin Molla died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University while undergoing treatment.
Earlier on April 28, he (Meraj) was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital with COVID-19 infection.
