KHULNA, May 09, 2021(BSS) – The monthly law and order meeting was held today at the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) conference room with DC Md Helal hossain in the chair.
Civil Surgeon Dr Niaz Mohammad said a total of 528 citizen who returned from abroad were kept in 12 quarantine centers where medical teams are regularly visiting them .
Additional Superintendent of Police Md Mamun-or-Rashid said law enforcement agencies will remain alert during pre and post Eid-ul-Fitr period .
He stressed the need for keeping law and order situation normal, saying stern action will be taken against the criminals.
District Marketing Officer Abdus Salam Tarafdar said smooth supply of essential and agricultural commodities is continuing well and prices are stable even in the lock down.
DC asked law enforcing agencies to follow health safety guidelines and rules, during marketing and Eid congregations, set up by the government.
He also asked to strengthen vigilance so that none can thwart law and order situation.
Describing law and order situation is better in comparison to last month, he said 147 cases were filed in all police stations last month which is less than previous months ,
Government officials and members of the committee virtually joined the meeting.
