RAB distributes food items among needy workers
DHAKA, May 06, 2021 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today distributed various food items among 300 needy, destitute and distressed workers on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
Additional DIG of RAB-4 (Captain) Md Mozammel Haque handed over various food items to the workers on the RAB-4 Battalion office premises at Paikpara, Mirpur.
Other officers and members of RAB-4 were present at the time.
RAB-4 Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury told BSS that food items including rice, pulses, oil, vermicelli, sugar and salt were distributed among them ensuring social distance.
The RAB official said that in order to prevent the spread of the current epidemic of Corona virus (Covid-19), RAB-4 has increased security and awareness campaign to encourage social distance and has conducted regular robust patrols to maintain law and order.
RAB-4 (Commander) Mohammad Mozammel Haque called upon the rich of the society to come forward in aid of the destitute.
RAB-4 sources said, the organization will continue public awareness and security activities along with public welfare activities in future.
