Khaleda Zia to be provided medical services as per decision of jail-authorities: Hanif
KUSHTIA, May 06, 2021 (BSS)- Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said BNP leader Begum Khaleda Zia is a convicted prisoner, so her medical services will be taken as per the decision of the court and jail authorities.
He was responding to a question from reporters before distributing relief items among about 3,000 people in a ward of Kushtia Municipality and 6,000 people in 6 unions of Sadar Upazila on Kushtia Mohin Mill ground.
About a statement of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir that the government is also corrupting the corona incentives, Hanif said the BNP has been criticizing in various ways since the emergence of corona disaster.
But Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been dealing with this crisis very successfully with the help of the country’s expert doctors, he added.
He urged BNP to return to positive politics for the betterment of the people and the country and also advised them to avoid ill-strategies to harass the government in order to get public support.
District Awami League president Sadar Uddin Khan, senior vice-president Haji Rabiul Islam, general secretary Azgar Ali, local business leader Zafar Mollah and Sadar Upazila Parishad chairman Ataur Rahman Ata were present, among others, on the occasion.
Later, Hanif handed over relief items to 6,000 more people in 6 unions including Kushtia Manohardia and Jhaudiya unions.
