Khasru distributes foods among distressed people in Netrakona
Netrakona, May 5, 2021 (BSS) – State minister for social welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru here today distributed foodstuffs among 500 distressed and jobless people to mitigate their sufferings amid Covid-19 pandemic.
The state minister distributed 500 packets containing rice, pulse edible oil and sweet guard among the poor and unemployed people at a local stadium strictly following health safety guidelines.
Khasru said the government continues carrying out massive relief operations across the country to reduce the hardship of helpless and needy people at the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He urged all people to abide by health safety guidelines including wearing masks, using sanitizers and maintaining social distancing to protect themselves from Coronavirus infection.
Habiba Rahman Khan Shafali MP, Deputy Commissioner Netrakona Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Police Super Netrakona Akber Ali Munshi, chairman of Netrakona Zila Parishad Prasanta Kumar Ray and mayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan were present.
