Nagad hands over personal protective materials to RAB

DHAKA, May 5, 2021 (BSS) – Nagad, the mobile financial service arm of Bangladesh Post Office, today handed over a few thousands of personal protective materials to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) to facilitate their operations during the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

Nagad, the fastest growing mobile financial service of the world, handed over some 5,000 N95 masks and 1,000 hand sanitizers to the elite force in a ceremony today at the RAB headquarters at Kurmitola in the city, said a press release.

Md. Shafayet Alam, executive director of Nagad, handed over the gift to the director general of RAB Additional IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun (BPM) at a function.

The Director General of RAB Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun expressed his satisfaction after receiving this helpful gift.

Extending his thanks to Nagad, Mamun said this would be very useful for the force’s members to ensure better services to the people.

Md. Shafayet Alam said that alongside RAB, all other law enforcing agencies are working round the clock for ensuring the safety and security of the country. “And we are very glad and satisfied to stand beside RAB.”

Lt. Col (Retd) Md. Kousar Soukat Ali (Rtd), Head of External Affairs of Nagad, Lt. Col Mohammad Hasan-Ur-Rashid Been Mosharrof (Rtd), M Mahbub Alam, general manager Stakeholder Management, Head of Law Enforcement Agencies Squadron Leader Asma Alamgir, director general of Stakeholder Operations External Affairs Division were present.

Director General of RAB Col KM Azad BPM, DIG Imtiaz Ahmed, Director (admin) and Lt Col Mohammad Khairul Islam were present at the event.
