Govt succeeds in controlling spread of Coronavirus: Shahab
Dhaka, May 3, 2021 (BSS) – Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Shahab Uddin today said the government has become largely succeeded to control the spread of Coronavirus and ensure foods as well as accommodation for countrymen as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina always thinks about the welfare of the nation.
“Despite the global economic stagnation, the government has largely succeeded in dealing all the obstacles caused by Coronavirus pandemic. As an outcome of government’s initiative, the rate of Corona infection has come down to a great extent in the country,” he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a function held at the Baralekha Upazila Parishad auditorium in Moulvibazar, said a press release.
He also distributed gifts on behalf of the Prime Minister to the families affected by the Coronavirus and on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
“We all need to ensure that farmers get a fair price of their produces,” he said, adding everyone should follow all hygiene rules, including wearing a mask, regular hand washing and keeping social distance to stem the spread of Coronavirus.
Chairman of Baralekha Upazila Parishad Sayeb Ahmed, Vice Chairman of Baralekha Upazila Parishad Muhammad Taj Uddin, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md Ubaid Ullah Khan, among others, were present.
