Son pleads guilty for killing mother
DHAKA, May 3, 2021 (BSS) – A son pleaded guilty for killing his mother over family feud in
the capital’s Jatrabari area today.
Sajib, the lone accused of the murder case eagerly agreed to give a confessional statement
when he was produced before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahinur Rahman
today.
The investigating officer of the case prayed for deposition of the confessional statement
of the accused under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Following the prayer , the court after recorded 164 confessional statement and ordered him
to send to jail.
Earlier, on Saturday night, RAB-10 conducted a special drive in Aralia area under
Gazaria police station of Munshiganj and arrested Sajib.
According to the case, Sajib locked an altercation with his mother Parveen Akhter, 45, on
the night of April 30 over a family dispute.
At one stage , Sajib hit his mother’s face with a brick.
Parveen sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital
(DMCH) where attending doctors declared her dead.
A murder case was filed at Jatrabari police station in this incident on the following day .
