ARREST-BANNED-OPERATIVE
4members of Ansar-al-Islam held in Khulna
KHULNA, May 02, 2021(BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested four alleged members of banned outfit Ansar-al-Islam from AziziaMarkazulUlum Madrasa located at Terokhada upazila here.
The arrested are Md Abir Mahmud Reza, 28, Md Abu Bakar Shikder, 20, Md Yousuf Ali, 21, and Ashraful Islam, 31.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-3 from Dhaka led by additional superintendent of police Rina Rani conducted a drive in the madrasa and arrested them.
Later, they were handed over to Terokhada Police Station.
Officer-in-Charge of Terokhada Police Station Mossarraf Hossain told BSS that they have been involved in anti-state activities for long.
