MYMENSINGH, May 2, 2021 (BSS) – Directorate of Disaster Management and Relief has sanctioned over TK 37 crore under Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme to distribute destitute families in the district on the eve of Eid ul Fitar.
The sanctioned money will be disbursed among 825539 card holders distressed and poor families before Eid.
District Relief and Rehabilitation Office sources said the work of preparing final lists is going on in full swing at union and ward levels in all 13 upazilas of the district.
DRRO Sanoar Hossen told BSS that each card holders will get TK 450 in cash.
They said under VGF programme, the upazila wise break-up of sanctioned money are over TK 1 crore 82 lakh in Dobaura upazila , over TK 2crore 78 lakh in Phulpur, over TK 3 crore in Tarakandha, over TK 3 croe in Ishwargonj, over TK 2crore 63 lakh in Gouripur , over TK 3 crore 25 lakh in Nandail, over TK 3crore 59 lakh in Phulbaria, over TK 2 crore 32 lakh in Haluaghat, over TK 3 crore 23 lakh in Muktagacha, over TK 3 crore 15 lakh in Trishal, over TK 3crore 10 lakh in Gafageon, over TK 2 crore 95 lakh in Bhaluka and over TK 2crore 13 lakh in Sadar upazila
They also said the distribution of money would start on May 5.
