China telecommunications business revenue up 4.1 pct on-yr in Jan.-June,

BEIJING, July 21, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – The revenue of China’s
telecommunication service totaled 672 billion yuan in the first half of this
year, up 4.1 percent year on year, official data showed on July 19.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT),
the business volume of telecommunications sector increased 132.7 percent for
a year earlier to 2.557 trillion yuan in the January-June period, and the
growth rate stood at 147.4 percent in June.
Data showed that China had over 1.1 billion 4G users. The number of
broadband internet users including 3G and 4G subscribers totaled 1.26
billion.
