Italian economy shrank 0.4pc in first quarter
MILAN, April 30, 2021 (BSS/AFP) – Italy’s economy contracted in the first quarter as the coronavirus pandemic continued to wreak havoc in the country, official data showed Friday.
The gross domestic product shrank by 0.4 percent in the first three months of the year compared to the previous quarter, according to the national institute of statistics.
