BD air-force continues humanitarian aid amid pandemic

DHAKA, April 29, 2021 (BSS)- Bangladesh Air Force is continuing various humanitarian activities, including distribution of relief goods, free medical services and COVID-19 vaccine to the general people by different BAF Bases during COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion of Birth Centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Celebration of Golden Jubilee of Independence, Bangladesh Air Force is continuing such humanitarian activities with the direction of Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat as part of humanitarian responsibility, said an Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) press release here today.

In line with this, relief materials were distributed among 500 needy and poor families of the adjacent areas of BAF Base Sheikh Hasina, Cox’s Bazar today, the release added.

Relief materials were distributed in presence of Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Sheikh Hasina, Cox’s Bazar Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Shafqat Ali by following proper hygiene rules and maintaining the provision of social distancing.

In addition, relief materials were distributed among the needy and poor families at the adjacent area of BAF Base Bashar like Jahangir Gate, Mohakhali, Mirpur-14, Shaheen Bagh and Bijoy Sarani.

Besides, by the initiative of BAF Officers and Airmen of Moulvibazar Radar Unit of Bangladesh Air Force, relief materials were also distributed on 28 April ,2021 among the needy and poor families of the adjacent area of this unit.

Bangladesh Air Force is continuing to provide free medicine and healthcare services through COVID-19 Primary Symptom Diagnosis and Counseling Center and Special Medical Camps at various BAF Bases as well as providing humanitarian assistance to the general people during the Corona pandemic.

Bangladesh Air Force is by the side of the general people through various activities to deal with any kind of national disaster and prevent coronavirus.
