BFUJ leaders thank PM for giving 10 cr Journalists’ Welfare Trust

DHAKA, April 29, 2021 (BSS)- Leaders of all the unions of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) across the country have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina for giving Taka 10 crore to the Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust during the corona epidemic.

The leaders of BFUJ and Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) expressed their gratitude in a written notification on Thursday.

Earlier, the written notification also mentioned the assistance of Taka 10,000 each as corona-period support to 3,350 journalists across the country.

At the same time, the Journalist-leaders also thanked Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud as he cooperated sincerely to get this help.

They said that as before, the journalist-friendly humanitarian Prime Minister, considering their appeal, set a unique precedent by providing taka 10 crore in this tragic pandemic situation.
