Asian Continental Chess to be held next month
DHAKA, April 29, 2021 (BSS)- The Asian Continental Chess Championship, organized by Asian Chess Federation, will be held from May 20-30 at various centers in presence of the arbiters.
Syed Shahab Uddin Shamim, general secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation ( BCF), told BSS today that as per the eligibility condition stipulated by the Asian Chess Federation, all the players rated 2300 and above are eligible to participate in the championship.
He said players from fifty two countries of Asia will take part in the championship. From Bangladesh five Grandmasters and one International Master will participate in the meet.
The five Grandmasters are GM Niaz Morshed, GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Rifat Bin Sattar, GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib, GM Enamul Hossain Rajib and IM Fahad Rahman.
