Chanchal emerges unbeaten champion in online Blitz Chess
DHAKA, April 28, 2021 (BSS)- CM Chanchal Kumar Ghosh emerged unbeaten champion in the 165th UCCC Online Blitz Chess tournament that concluded on Tuesday night, said a press release today.
Chanchal secured 6.5 points out of seven matches to emerge champion while Anikuzzaman finished runners-up with six points playing the same number of matches.
Abu Hanif, Khondakar Arafat and Abul Kashem Bhuiyan finished third, fourth and fifth position respectively securing equal 5.5 points each from seven matches after their position were decided in a tie breaking system while Azmain Parvez Sayor, Masum Hossain, Golam Sarowar, Avijit Borua, Sohani and Kazi Mahbub Afzal Ronjon finished sixth to 11th position respectively with five points apiece.
A total of sixty eight local and foreign players took part in the tournament, organized by Uttara Central Chess Club.
