Khulna DC distributes food aid among 550 poor people
KHULNA, April 28, 2021(BSS) – Khulna deputy commissioner (DC) Md Helal Hossain today distributed foodstuffs among 550 day labourers, saloon workers, unemployed , low-income workers and poor people to minimize the present adverse impact of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the city .
Khulna District Administration organised the programme at Dighalia upazila parishad premises .
DC disbursed rice, pulse, chicken, oil, potato and vegetable for mitigating their financial hardship amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation by strictly maintaining health safety guidelines.
Lawmaker of Khulna-4 constituency Salam Murshedi virtually attended the programme as chief guest.
Besides, DC distributed same food stuff among poor people as part of Ashryan project
Deputy Director of local government in Khulna Md Iqbal Hossain, Chairman of Dighalia upazila parishad chairman Sheikh Maruful Islam, among others, were present on the occasion.
Later, Khulna DC inaugurated Bangabandhu corner at the upazila premises
