KHULNA, April 27, 2021(BSS) – Khulna deputy commissioner (DC) Md Helal Hossain today distributed foodstuffs among 400 needy, fishermen, day labourers, saloon workers, black smith, jobless, low-income workers and destitute to mitigate sufferings caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Khulna district Administration organised the programme at the Gutudia, Ulabazar area under Dumuria upazila in the district.
DC disbursed rice, pulse, chicken, oil, potato and vegetable for mitigating their financial hardship amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation by strictly maintaining health safety guidelines .
Superintendent of Police, Khulna Md Mahbub Hasan, Chairman of Dumuria upazila parishad Ezaz Ahmed, Additional deputy commissioner(Education and ICT) Md Sadekur Rahman Khan, UNO Md Abdul Wadud, among others, present on the occasion.
Earlier, Khulna DC inaugurated Boro paddy cutting programme at Gutudia Union of the upazila
