CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 27, 2021 (BSS)- During the past 24 hours, one more Covid-19-related death was recorded in the district this morning raising the total number of deaths to16.
Shamim Ara Hoque, wife of noted industrialist and owner of Hoque Auto Rice Mills Mozammel Hoque who died due to Covid-19 on April 22 last, of Nayagola in Chapainawabganj municipality died today at BIRDEM General Hospital in Dhaka, Civil Surgeon of Chapainawabganj Dr. Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury confirmed.
On the other hand, three more persons all belonging to Chapainawabganj sadar upazila were detected positive for Covid-19 after testing 12 samples during the period raising the total number of positive cases in the district to 948, the health official added.
With the newly detected patients, the number of Covid-19 patients has become 117 while 815 infected people have so far been recovered from the lethal virus, the sources further said.
