Rezaul mourns death of Kazi Tariqul Alam
DHAKA, Apr 26, 2021 (BSS)- Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim and Secretary Raunak Mahmud have expressed deep grief over the death of Dr Kazi Md Tariqul Alam, a 19th batch officer of Bangladesh Civil Service (Livestock) cadre and Deputy Director of Central Poultry Breeding Farm in Narayanganj.
The minister and secretary prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, said a release.
In a condolence message, the minister said, “Dr Tariqul was a meritorious officer. In the workplace, he has performed his duties with efficiency and reputation. His contribution to the development of the country’s livestock sector will be remembered for ever.”
The message further stated that the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock is deeply saddened by his death.
Dr Kazi Md Tariqul Alam died at around 1am yesterday while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
According to family sources, he was tested positive for Covid-19 recently.
