DHAKA, April 26, 2021 (BSS) – Stocks today performed mixed with major indices finishing flat.
The broader DSEX index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) closed the day with 12.35 points down at 5,485.87. The blue-chip DS30 and Shariah DSES closed the day with 8.21 points up at 2,125.90 and with 7.07 points up at 1,262.81.
The day’s trade value at DSE decreased to Taka 11,957.55 million from Sunday’s Taka 11,888.62 million and the daily trade fell to 26.73 crore shares from 27.24 crore shares of the previous session.
At DSE, out of the day’s 357 securities, prices of 103 securities closed higher against 192 losing issues.
The major gaining issues were AFC Agro, ANWARGALV, NFML, OAL and ESQUIRENT.
The major losing companies were Prime Bank, Purabi Gen, Takaful Insurance, Peoples Insurance and DGIC.
Beximco topped the turnover list followed by LHBL, Beximco Pharma, GBB Power and BD Finance.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) closed the day of the week with an upward trend with its major CASPI 23.05 points up at 9,549.66.
At CSE, 255 issues were traded. Of those, 73 closed higher and 134 closed lower when 1.22 crore shares worth Taka 71.98 crore changed hands.
