PANCHAGARH, April 26, 2021(BSS)- The wheat procurement drive in Boda upazila of the district began yesterday.
Boda Upazila Administration and Food Department have jointly arranged the procurement drive in Boda Local Supply Department (LSD) food godown.
Chairman of Boda upazila Faruk Alam Tobi and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Solayman Ali inaugurated the procurement programme as the chief and special guests respectively by taking one tonnes of wheat from farmers Mojaharul Islam and Yousuf Dulal .
Food department sources said the government will procure 910 tonnes of wheat directly from the farmers of Boda upazila at a fixed price of Taka 28 per kg.
The procurement drive of wheat will continue till June next, the sources added.
Food Controller of Boda upazila Md Kamruzzaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of LSD Alif Reza were present during the procurement programme.
