PANCHAGARH, April 25, 2021(BSS)- Nutrition Food packages were distributed among 132 poor pregnant women and malnourished adolescent girls in Debiganj upazila here today.
The Debiganj Upazila Health and Family Planning Department distributed the food items and gave nutrition related advice to them while observing the “National Nutrition Week”.
The distribution function was held at the Upazila Health Complex premises in compliance with the health safety guidelines as the countrywide strict lockdown is ongoing.
Upazila Chairman of Debiganj Md Abdul Malek Chistee and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Prottoy Hasan jointly distributed the food items as the chief and special guests respectively with Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Hasinur Rahman in the chair.
The packages are consisting of five kilograms (Kgs) of rice, three-kg of potatoes , half-kg of edible oil, one-kg salt, one-kg onion, half-kg of lentil and half-kg of sugar.
Besides, the “National Nutrition Week” has began from April 23 and it will continue to April 29.
