JAMALPUR, April 24, 2021 (BSS)- District Administration will disburse cash assistance to 3.82 lakh poor families here who are facing hardship during the Covid-19 pandemic .
District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Md Nayeb Ali said the distribution programme will begin tomorrow.
According to the District Relief and Rehabilitation office, Taka 17.39 crore has been allocated to implement the programme.
Under the programme, each of 3, 42, 000 VGF card holders will get Taka 450 while 40,000 families– 34,000 from 68 unions and 6,000 from municipality areas of the district– will get Taka 500 as humanitarian grant to mark the holy Ramadan.
