JAMALPUR July 20, 2018 (BSS) – Three people were killed when a loaded
truck fell into a roadside ditch on Sarishabari-Bhuapur road in Sarishabari
upazila of the district early today.
The deceased were identified as Nazir Hossain,50, son of late Foyez
Sheikh at village Patierpara in Sarishabari upazila; Abdul Bari,50, son of
late Abdul Gafur, and Riaz Uddin Nimai,40, son of Omar Sardar at village
Shantiarpara in the same upazila.
Police said the driver of the Sarishabari-bound truck from Dhaka lost
control over the steering and fell into a roadside ditch and turned turtle in
Sthal area of the upazila at around 3:30 am, leaving three persons killed on
the spot. The deceased were travelling on the truck.
Officer-in-charge of Tarakandi Police Station Md Zoaher Hossain Khan
said the deceased were day-labourers.
He said after the accident, driver of the truck Md Anis went into hiding.
