DHAKA, April 23, 2021 (BSS) – State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP, today lauded the authorities of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) as the university recently has become top university of Bangladesh by SCIMAGO, a Spain-based organisation.
BSMRAU has emerged as one of the best public and private universities in Bangladesh by the ranking of SCIMAGO, said a press release.
“I sincerely congratulate the vice chancellor, all the teachers, students, officials and employees of BSMRAU for ensuring the first place among all the public and private universities in the country by international standard,” he said.
The recently published ranking shows that BSMRAU, named after Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and situated in Gazipur, has become the best among 28 universities of the country while Maulana Bhasani Science and Technology University of Tangail and Dhaka University ensured 2nd and third position respectively.
A total of 30 Bangladeshi institutes getting into the 2021 rankings published recently by SCIMAGO. Of the organisations, 28 are universities.
