4,414 get 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Khulna
KHULNA, April 21, 2021 (BSS) – The total number of second dose
vaccine recipients rose to 53,043 as 4,414 more people were inoculated today.
“As many as 4,414 people received the second dose of coronavirus vaccine
in the district today as the second dose vaccination campaign was
launched on April 7,” said Khulna civil surgeon Dr Niaz Mohammad.
Among the people, who received second shot, 2,096 are from the city
corporation area and 2,318 from nine upazilas of the district,
A total of 53,043 people including 34,848 male and 18,195 females received
the second dose of corona vaccine in the city and the district so far.
“The vaccination drive is being conducted at two hospitals in Khulna city and
nine upazila hospitals in the district,” the civil surgeon said.
Besides, the first dose of coronavirus inoculation is continuing in Khulna at two public hospitals and nine upazila health complexes.
A total of 564 people today received their first dose of the vaccine, said Dr Niaz Mohammad.
