CHATTOGRAM, April 21, 2021 (BSS)- One more case has been filed against Nurul Haque Nur, a former vice-president of DUCSU, under Digital Security Act in Chattogram on charges of making incendiary remarks and insulting the religious sentiments through a Facebook live session.

Swechchhasebak League leader Aziz Misir filed a case against Nur with Kotwali thana on Tuesday night,” Nezam Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kotwali thana, told BSS today.

Earlier, three cases, one under the Digital Security Act, were filed against Nur on the same charges, the OC said.

Aziz Misir alleged that Nur had hurt religious values and sentiments of many religious leaders and activists of Bangladesh Awami League and tried to destroy communal harmony through offensive and false information via Facebook live.

On April 14, Nur went live on Facebook and began pushing the narrative of Hifazat-e Islam leaders against the Awami League.

Nezam Uddin further said Nur has been charged under several sections of the Digital Security Act for making provocative remarks on Facebook.
