Covid-infected five eve booters physically fine

DHAKA, April 20, 2021 (BSS) – All the five eve footballers, who were earlier tested COVID-19 positive, are still physically fine and currently in isolation at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) camp.

All of them are still physically fine and remained in isolation inside a room of BFF Bhaban, said national women’s team coach Golam Rabbani Choton to BSS.

Choton said they have started the process of re-testing of the infected booters and the players will be tested again soon.

Earlier, five eve footballers – Krishna Rani Sarkar, Monica Chakma, Rituporna Chakma, Nilufa Yasmin Nila and Anai Mogini– of the national women’s team were tested COVID-19 positive.

As part of routine tests on April 12 last, the five women’s footballers were tested positive and since they have been isolated.

All five of footballers played for defending champions Bashundhara Kings in the Women’s Football League, which was suspended on April 5 last in the wake of the first weeklong nationwide lockdown.

The five eve booters stayed in the Bashundhara’s camp during the league but as soon as the league was suspended, all the players were released and they returned to the BFF camp.
