Banks to remain open in limited scale till April 28
DHAKA, April 20, 2021 (BSS) – Banks will remain open in limited scale during the extended period of the ongoing lockdown till April 28 to facilitate the financial transaction of their clients.
As per a circular of the Bangladesh Bank (BB), banks will remain open from 10am to 2.30 pm every working day from April 21 to 28 while the transaction will be made between 10am to 1pm.
The decision of the banking watchdog came hours after the government issued a circular today extending the ongoing lockdown for another week beginning from tomorrow amid the rise in Covid-19 infections and deaths.
On April 13, Bangladesh Bank issued a circular with similar instructions on banking hours.
