33 more test positive for COVID-19 in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, April 20, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 33 people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after diagnosing 120 samples at Satkhira Medical College and Hospital (SMC) COVID-19 laboratory as the trend of the lethal virus rising in the district.
The total number of infected persons in the district stood at 1,239 and the number of recovery cases stood at 1,150, said civil surgeon of the district Dr Hussain Safayat this afternoon.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, one COVID-19 patient died at Satkhira Medical College and Hospital, the civil surgeon told BSS.
The health expert urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
Dr Hussain Safayat said 31 infected persons are now undergoing treatment at Satkhira Medical College and Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
