73 more test positive for COVID-19 in Bogura
BOGURA, April 20, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 73 people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after diagnosing 311 samples at two PCR Labs here as the trend of the lethal virus rising.
Of the total, 69 are in Sadar upazila, one each in Shibganj upazila, Sherpur upazila, Kahalu upazila and Sariakandi upazila of the district.
The total number of infected persons in the district stood at 11,491 and the number of recovery cases stood at 10,152, said deputy civil surgeon Dr Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin this afternoon.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, two COVID-19 patients died at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, the deputy civil surgeon said.
A total of 279 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, deputy civil surgeon Dr Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin told BSS.
The health expert urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
