Seed, fertilizer distributed for Aush farming in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH, April 19, 2021 (BSS)- A total of 440 poor and marginal farmers got seed and fertilizer as incentives for Aush farming in all 10 unions under Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh district from the government’s ‘Agriculture Incentive Distribution Programme’ through Upazila Agriculture Office.

The Debiganj Agriculture Department arranged the distribution programme today on its premises with Upazila Krishi Officer Md Safiar Rahman in the chair.

Upazila Chairman of Debiganj Abdul Malek Chistee inaugurated the programme as the chief guest in compliance with the health rules while Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Debiganj was present as special guest.

Each of the farmers got five kilograms (KGs) of Aush paddy seed, 20-kg of DAP (Di Ammonium Phosphate) fertilizer, 10-kg of Mop fertilizer from the office free of cost under the programme.

The government has given the agro-incentive– seed and fertilizer– as a special motivation part during the COVID-19 pandemic in all upazilas throughout the country to boost the Aush farming.
