45 people, organisations of Khulna fined lock down violators

KHULNA, Apr 18, 2021 (BSS) – Different mobile courts today fined 45 people and a number of shops and organisations TK 14,700 for violating government directives and Covid-19 health safety guidelines in the ongoing lockdown in the city and nine upazilas of the district .

Besides, the mobile court also launched campaign urging the people to stay in house without emergency works in the lockdown saying legal action will be taken against violators of government directives.

According to Khulna district administration’s media cell, separate mobile courts led by Khulna Deputy Commissioner and district magistrate Md Helal Hossain conducted drives in different city and upazilas today and fined 45 people and organisations for not wearing masks and opening shops and some orgnizations in the lockdown flouting health guidelines.

“District administration is continuing drives and regular campaign for preventing coronavirus with a slogan ‘no masks, no service, and strict adherence to health safety guidelines and other rules, set by the government ,” Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner Debashish Basak told BSS.

Meanwhile, Khulna city saw almost complete lockdown on the fourth day today as the local administration took strict measures to impose the restrictions to contain the spread of infections of the second wave of coronavirus
