One held with hemp plants in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 17, 2021 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man for growing hemp plants from Gomostapur in Chapainawabganj district early today.
The arrested is Shree Komol Mondal, 20, of Madhabpur Uttarpara village under Fatepur union of Gomostapur upazila in the district.
Acting on a tip-off, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in a grass field owned by Komol Mondal in the area around 02.10 am and found the hemp plants weighing about four kilograms.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Gomostapur thana with a case.
