Russell mourns death of legendary actress Kabori
DHAKA, April 17, 2021 (BSS)- State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russell today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of legendary Bangla film actress, director and former member of parliament (MP) Sarah Begum Kabori.
In a condolence message, the State Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
“Kabori was a shining star in the film industry of Bangladesh. Besides acting, her contribution in the field of politics and culture is unforgettable,” he said, adding that Kabori’s death is an irreparable loss for Bangla cinema.
Russell said she (Kabori) will live forever in the heart of the countrymen through her creative works and creation.
Sarah Begum Kabori, who was on life support at the intensive care unit (ICU)of Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital in the capital,passed away in the early hours of today at the age of 70.
The National Award winning actress had recently tested positive for COVID-19.
