One held with heroin, yaba in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 15, 2021 (BSS) – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 2.228 kgs of heroin and 374 pieces of yaba tablet from Sadar upazila of the district in the early hours of today.
The arrested was identified as Md. Shahriar Kamal Dalim, 48, a resident of Hajarbighi Uttar Chandpur village under Shibganj upazila in the district.
BGB sources said, acting on a tip-off, a special team of BGB from 59-battalion conducted a raid at Setaur Rahman Market, New Bridge area in Sadar upazila around 2.10 am and arrested him with the heroin and yaba tablets.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Sadar thana with a case, the BGB sources added.
